Luther Vandross 1995 Live Performance: “Always and Forever”

In this 1995 broadcast of The Dini Petty Show, Luther Vandross performs “Always and Forever” live. It comes from the same visit as his full sit-down with Dini Petty, recorded during the Songs era, when Vandross was at the height of his powers as one of the great voices in R&B.

Television footage of Luther singing this one is scarce, which is what makes the performance worth seeing.

Eight years later, a stroke ended his ability to perform. He died on July 1, 2005, at 54. Watch the full 1995 interview from the same appearance alongside this performance.

Unseen since its original 1995 CTV broadcast, this performance has been meticulously optimized and preserved via the official archive of The Dini Petty Show.
