In this 1994 broadcast of The Dini Petty Show, Peter Frampton performs “Waiting For Your Love” live, from his self-titled album and his return to his roots, eighteen years after Frampton Comes Alive!. He wrote it with Kevin Savigar, Rod Stewart’s longtime keyboard player, and it started on a cattle farm in Kentucky where he went to be alone and write.
This is Frampton between the monster and the comeback, playing a brand new song instead of the hits.
In 2026, Frampton Comes Alive! turns 50, the documentary Frampton tells his story, and Carry the Light is his first album of new material in sixteen years. His full 1994 conversation with Dini Petty, where he talks about life after Comes Alive, comes from the same visit.
Unseen since its original 1994 CTV broadcast, this performance has been meticulously optimized and preserved via the official archive of The Dini Petty Show.
