In a rare and deeply personal 1996 interview, screen legend Omar Sharif counts the real cost of Lawrence of Arabia. The role made him famous across the world — and, he tells Dini Petty, ended his marriage and the great love of his life, a loss he says he never recovered from. He speaks candidly about fame, regret, a terrifying encounter with a gun-wielding fan in Dallas, and what finally matters. With Adrienne Gold, Lisa Garfinkle, and Cherylyn Stacey on The Dini Petty Show.In a rare and deeply personal 1996 interview, screen legend Omar Sharif counts the real cost of Lawrence of Arabia.
