Sheryl Crow, Deborah Cox, Deana Carter

Sheryl Crow, Deborah Cox, Deana Carter

Description

Sheryl Crow sits down with Dini Petty in December 1998, three albums in and just off her first record written entirely in the first person. She tells the story of writing “My Favorite Mistake” — the song she has spent three decades refusing to explain — and how it came so easily she was convinced she’d accidentally stolen it, phoning friends and her publisher to check it wasn’t already someone else’s. She also recalls opening for Bob Dylan and the night her guitar died mid-set. Then she performs “If It Makes You Happy” live. The album went on to win the 1999 Grammy for Best Rock Album. With Deborah Cox and Deana Carter.
