Two years before he was cast as James Bond, Pierce Brosnan sat down with Dini Petty in January 1993 — a year after losing his wife, Cassandra Harris, to ovarian cancer. He talks about the paintings he began while she was dying, bracing for darkness to come out and finding colour instead, and about quietly weighing a return to television. An unguarded conversation, unseen since it first aired. Also on this January 21, 1993 episode: Humble Howard Glassman, Toronto reggae band Fujahtive, Orly the Matchmaker, and the Esquire Dubious Achievements Awards.
